Designing a Master Bedroom

Welcome to Bellflower House, the inaugural project for Rent Live Play where we embarked on a transformative journey of renovation. Our primary focus? The master bedroom – a space that we envisioned to be a testament to design, comfort, and luxury. Join us as we share the story of how we turned a worn and unappealing room into a captivating and moody masterpiece.

When we acquired Bellflower House, it was evident that a comprehensive renovation was in order. The interior demanded attention – walls needed repairs, holes required patching, trim had to be replaced, and a fresh coat of paint was essential. Additionally, the outdated and stained shaggy carpet was promptly replaced with sleek new flooring, instantly elevating the room's aesthetic.

The master bedroom that the previous owner had.

The search for the perfect furniture took us on a quest, and fate led us to a unique find – a set of Anthropologie nightstands that resonated with our vision for the space. Inspired by these distinctive pieces, we decided to infuse a moody ambiance, opting for a deep blue accent wall and crafting a custom abstract 3D design from MDF, making the space truly one-of-a-kind.

A vintage dresser, in need of love and attention, became our next project. After meticulous repairs, a fresh coat of paint, and the addition of upgraded hardware, the dresser seamlessly complemented the room's design, adding character and charm.

After a lot of work the new master bedroom.

Given the room's generous size, we opted for a California king bed featuring a sumptuous 14” thick memory foam and cooling mattress – a choice synonymous with comfort and luxury. The meticulous selection process led us to one of the market's most comfortable mattresses, ensuring a restful retreat.

To enhance the room further, we replaced the old carpet with matching hardwood flooring, consistent with the rest of the house. This not only elevated the quality of the space but also contributed to a cohesive and stylish interior.

The finishing touches included sheer and blackout curtains, pendant lamps on the wall, a television with a soundbar, and high-quality bedding. The result? A master bedroom that quickly became a favorite within Bellflower House, and rightfully so. Join us on this journey of transformation and discover the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and moody interior design at Bellflower House – your ultimate retreat.
